Hola

Hello from a new place and a new mindset.

I've had my head stuck in the sand for the past several months. I've been admittedly antisocial. I haven't run or ridden my bike in ages, nor have I done anything remotely athletic, which has wreaked havoc on my overall well-being. I've been sedentary for too long, and my soul has settled into a quiet hibernation.

I think it's time to break free from this monotonous sleepwalk.

We've moved across town to the Southwest. Our new space is smaller, funkier, and has lots more character and style (toilet in the shower, anyone?) I promise, pics to follow soon. You'll learn all about interior design on a dime for small spaces.

My blog has remained dormant long enough, and I was having fun with it before I quit writing. I felt like I had hit my stride, so to speak, both in my running shoes and on the page. Though I will no longer be logging miles on the road, I still feel like I have something to say. Hence, I have created this homage to our life in Portland. And I hope you'll pull up a chair and enjoy my sometimes-inane ramblings about life in the Pacific Northwest.
